Stuff: Tomatoes, 1 clove, garlic, roasted mixed dal powder, toor dal stock, oil, rai (the little one), hing, haldi, salt, curry leaves, and of course, a bunch of mint leaves
In a perfect world, this will be done in three steps – the sole purpose being to get the peel off the tomato in the middle step. Decide your tolerance levels for tomato peel. Alternative techniques include running it through the mixie and straining – but would a lazychef ever do that.. would they?
Simple How To:
Simble: garlic, tomato boiled in toor dal stock, 1 clove with a bit of chilly n adyar roasted dal powder. Remove tomato peel.
Tadka: Oil, rai, hing.
Bung the tadka in the main liquid.
Then a bunch of mint thrown in to boil n integrate.
(Mash a bit, unless you were smart enough to do so earlier)
Loved it! Customize proportions.
